Snowy-headed Robin-chat

Snowy-headed Robin-chat

Common Name: Snowy-headed Robin-chat
Scientific Name: Cossypha niveicapilla
Exhibit: Aviary
Medium: Colored Pencil
Date finished: April 26, 2008
Observation: This bird tends to stand out from the other birds, but not due to his colorations. His song is loud and clear, and probably one of the reasons people notice his songs is because he usually sounds just like a human whistling. Many time I or someone else whistle back to the Robin-chat. At times I even think I recognize tunes he sings. When I first started volunteering I found the Robin-chat to be my favorite, though I think that has changed after I became familiar with the other birds.
